ROCK SPRINGS – The blood feud continues as residents from Rock Springs and Green River give blood in support of their favorite team.
Monday marked the start of the annual friendly competition between the residents of Rock Springs and Green River. Residents are encouraged to give blood to support Green River High School or Rock Springs High School. While bragging rights are on the line, the real winners could be anyone.
The drive starts in Rock Springs on Monday at the Bunning Freight Station in downtown Rock Springs. Residents can donate blood from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be another chance for residents in Rock Springs on Wednesday. The second opportunity will be at Rock Springs High School from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
There are also two opportunities in Green River. The first is on Tuesday at the Green River Recreation Center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be another opportunity at Green River High School on Thursday. Times residents can donate on Thursday are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Those who donate will receive a t-shirt which can be worn at Thursday night’s basketball games between the two schools. The winner will be announced Thursday night.
Also, residents can give blood at either location in support of either team. Just tell them which team you support before you give and it will be added to the team’s total.
