Citations Issued For School Bus Passing Incidents In Green River

GREEN RIVER — Two individuals were ticketed for ‘meeting or passing a stopped school bus’. One of the cited individuals also received a ‘speed too fast for conditions’ in a separate incident later that day.

On January 22nd at 3:32 pm, GRPD Officers responded to the Sweetwater County School District #2 Transportation Department, in reference to a report of a school bus light violation. Officers investigated the incident and contacted Ira Dickson, age 18 of Rock Springs, who was issued a citation for meeting or passing a stopped school bus.

Later that day at 4:28 pm, Officers responded to the Sweetwater County School District #2 Transportation Department, in reference to a report of a school bus light violation. Officers investigated the incident and contacted Boru Mai, age 31 of Green River, who was issued a citation for meeting or passing a stopped school bus.

At 5:00 pm, GRPD Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision. It was reported a vehicle was traveling westbound on East Flaming Gorge Way. The vehicle slowed to make a right hand turn into a parking lot and was struck from behind by another vehicle. No injuries were reported, Ira Dickinson, age 18 of Rock Springs, was issued a citation for speed too fast for conditions.
