GREEN RIVER—Wyoming Project WILD and Wyoming Project Learning Tree have teamed up to offer a fun, hands-on workshop offering instruction in both environmental education curricula for formal and non-formal early childhood educators and daycare providers.

The early childhood education workshop is being sponsored by Western Wyoming Community College, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, and ExxonMobil. The workshop takes place on Friday, January 12, at WWCC Rock Springs Campus, in room 1309, from 8 am to 4 pm. The cost of the workshop is $15.00 and includes two curriculum guides, activity materials, lunch provided by WWCC, and snacks. Participants will receive seven credits towards STARS certification and 0.5 credits towards Professional Teaching Standards Board certification.

Project WILD and Project Learning Tree early childhood programs provide an introduction to environmental education with an emphasis on wildlife and trees, encouraging children to explore, discover and communicate in expressive ways. WILD and PLT offers a wide range of activities and experiences providing an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong social and academic skills.
