Green River Police Department report for May 3 includes fraud calls

GREEN RIVER – Officers investigated a report of Fraud on Nolan Street when the victim advised someone used her credit card to make an unauthorized purchase. The case has been referred to the investigation division.

Officers assisted authorities from Lebanon Kentucky with an investigation of a fraud scheme.

Officers learned a local resident had been drawn into the scam and was receiving threats from males with foreign accents if uncooperative. The local person said she would not sign for or forward anymore packages.

Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance on Wilkes Drive regarding loud noise coming from another apartment. When police arrived the caller advised she did not want the other party contacted.

Animal Control Officers responded to a complaint of two dogs at large on Uinta Drive; the dogs were located and impounded.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Mansface Street with an 81 year old male suffering from stomach pains and dizziness.

Animal Control Officers initiated a welfare check on a horse at the Municipal Corrals.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area of E 2nd N and Center Street; the area was checked and the report unfounded.

Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing a client’s drug test on Commerce Way.
