Coach Wyant is Proud of Mamalis’ Hard Work

Tracy Wyant, GRHS girls head soccer coach, said she was proud of the improvements Mamalis has made since just last season. She said last year, Mamalis was good, but since then she has gone to camps, open gyms, and found gym space to practice by herself, and has really improved.

Wyant said Mamalis’ hard work shows that when Mamalis puts her mind to something, she will work hard until she achieves her goals. Wyant said she is excited to work with Mamalis during the 2018 soccer season.

Wyant added that soccer at a collegiate level is completely different than high school soccer, and she is sure Mamalis and the Mamalis family will love the differences.

Excited to Play at the Collegiate Level

Mamalis is excited to have the opportunity to sign with Sheridan College. She said the coaches are great and she is excited to work with the girls on the team.

“I definitely feel relieved and thankful for the opportunity,” Mamalis said about signing the letter. “I am excited to play at the next level of soccer.”

She plans to study general studies until she decides what she wants to major in.
