Performers set for this year’s International Day on July 12

ROCK SPRINGS -As one of the first melting pots in the United States, Rock Springs history is as diverse of the population which came to Sweetwater County to work in the mines and on the railroad.

International Day celebrates the diverse heritage of Rock Springs on July 12. Known as the “Home of 56 Nationalities,” different cultures are celebrated all day through food, exhibits, costumes and live entertainment at this free festival; the only ethnic festival of its kind in Wyoming. This year’s festival features a wide range of local, regional, and international entertainment, activities for kids, exotic foods and unique vendor items. You can also enjoy over 20 imported beverages from around the world.

Performers from various parts of the world will provide a smorgasbord of music and dance entertainment throughout the day, including:
10:00 a.m. Dave Pedri and the EIO Band
11:00 a.m. Salzburger Echo
12:00 noon OPA Greek Dancers
1:00 p.m. Southeast Wyoming Pipe Band
2:00 p.m. Samba Fogo
3:00 p.m. Salzburger Echo
4:00 p.m. OPA Greek Dancers
5:00 p.m. Samba Fogo
6:00 p.m. Southeast Wyoming Pipe Band
7:00 p.m. Dave Pedri and the EIO Band
8:00 p.m. The Indulgers
