United Way Hosts 12th Annual Golf Tournament at Rolling Green on September 8

GREEN RIVER — There still a few good months to get your swings in, and the United Way of Southwest Wyoming’s 12th Annual Golf Tournament is a great time to let it fly

The tournament takes place September 8th at Rolling Green Country Club in Green River with proceeds from the event going to support the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Southwest Wyoming.

This program is part of United Way education initiative to help children be kindergarten ready.

This four-person scramble begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Team fees are $100 per player.

This fee includes green fees, a cart, breakfast and lunch. Prizes will be given to the top three placing teams. Sign up your team at swunitedway.org.

“Last year, the 11th Annual Golf Tournament raised over $18,000 for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Southwest Wyoming,” said Kelly Frink, United Way of Southwest Wyoming, Executive Director.

“Join us for a fun day of golfing, while supporting a great cause,” said Frink.

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children, birth to age 5, are mailed a free, age appropriate book every month.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library supplies the books while United Way raises funds through special events and writing grants to cover the cost of shipping the books.

Over 3,500 children in Southwest Wyoming have enrolled in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Southwest Wyoming.
