4A Girls Regional Soccer Results and State Matchups

EVANSTON — As the high school sports season closes out its final weeks of competition, this week’s 4A West Regional Championships will determine the seeding for next week’s state tournament.

Both the Rock Springs High School Lady Tigers and Green River High School Lady Wolves are participating in the 4A West Regional Championships in Evanston beginning Thursday and wrapping up with the championship game on Saturday.

RSHS went into the the regional tournament as the number one seed, earning a first-round bye and automatic bid into the state tournament. As for the Lady Wolves, the team was stamped the seventh seed.

On Thursday the Lady Wolves came up short against Jackson. The loss eliminated Green River from the tournament and ended their season.

Rock Springs secured an automatic bid to the state tournament as the first seed and proved why they were worthy of the highest seed after defeating Kelly Walsh in the championship game on Saturday. The Lady Tigers won 5-1 and secured their fifth consecutive 4A West Region title.
