ROCK SPRINGS – Judy K. Winter, 73, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. A life long resident of Rock Springs, Mrs. Winter died following a brief illness.
She was born on January 21, 1942 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Zancanella.
Mrs. Winter attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming and was a 1960 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.
She married Charley Winter on August 18, 1973 at the First Congregational Church in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Mrs. Winter was employed as a secretary for Sweetwater Federal Savings and Loan for twenty years and retired in the mid 1980’s.
Her interests included bowling and traveling in their motorhome.
She was a member of First Congregational Church and the church choir. She was also a member of Sweetwater County Search and Rescue. She volunteered at the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen and at the Urban Renewal Association with her husband.
Survivors include her husband Charley Winter of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three daughters Tammy Surline and husband Pat of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Tammy Moyer of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Linda Gustaffson and husband Carl of El Cajon, California; one brother Robert C. Zancanella of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister Patricia J. Zancanella of Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren Stevi Campbell and husband Nick and Crystal Moyer; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson Levi Zanetti.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the First Congregational Church, 1275 Adams Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, one hour prior to services.
