GLENROCK — On April 8, 2020, a fatal crash occurred around milepost 167 on US 20/26 west of Glenrock, Wyo.
At 4:53 am, Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the area for a one-vehicle rollover.
A 2004 Cadillac CTS was headed east on US 20/26. The driver failed to negotiate a slight curve to the left, causing the vehicle to drift over the fog line on the south side of the road. The driver steered to the left before overcorrecting to the right. The vehicle exited the right side of the road and overturned.
The driver of the Cadillac has been identified as 33-year-old Mills, Wyo. resident Colbey J. Emms. Emms was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
Driver inattention is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
This is the 16th fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2020 compared to 38 in 2019, 22 in 2018, and 24 in 2017 to date.
