Alicia Rose Kosmann Powelson (July 18, 1986 – November 13, 2021)

Our sweet daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mother journeyed home to her Heavenly Father on the morning of November, 13 2021.

Alicia Rose Kosmann Powelson was born on July 18, 1986 to Lance and Vivian Kosmann in Bozeman, MT. Shortly after, she became a big sister to not one, not two, but six siblings. She was a second mother to them all: Bryan (Jacque), Aaron (Ashley), Valerie (Austin), Bradley (Ava), Marissa (Tim), and Parker.

While Alicia inherited her quirkiness and sense of humor from her mom, she inherited her dad’s smile and bright blue eyes. She loved to laugh and be silly. Growing up, she was very active and participated in track, dance, and cheer. One of her biggest passions was dancing. For 15 years, Alicia shined front and center on stage, but she wouldn’t want you to know that with her humble heart. She also loved to be outdoors. She would hike up long treacherous mountains just to read on a rock while the boys fished.

After high school, Alicia attended the University of Montana and graduated with a degree in psychology. During her college career, she enlisted in the army and went through basic training. She had grit and determination to do the things she set out to do. Alicia wrote many letters back to her mom and dad while on base proving that her heart belonged at home with her family.

In 2008, she married Josh Powelson and to this union were born four beautiful boys: Emery, Jaxon, Lancer, and Liam. Her children were her pride and joy, and she loved them deeply.

Alicia was fortunate to be able to stay home and be a full time mom and wife. She filled her days with cooking, exercising, and reading her bible. She taught at the Recreation Center in Rock Springs, WY and had aspirations to open up her own dance studio. She placed her trust in God and strived to follow the teachings of Jesus. She was not one to draw attention to herself nor did she value the material things in life. Instead, Alicia cared for others and lived intentionally. It will never be the same without her, but she would want us to continue to live with joy, peace, and hope in our lives. Our Leeshy will be dearly missed.

Funeral services were held at Heights Family Funeral Home on 733 W Wicks Lane, Billings, MT on Friday November 19, 2021.
