It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew Normington, 91, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. he passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Saturday, August 29, 2026 He was an 81 years resident of Wyoming
He was born Friday, November 2, 1934, in Rock Springs, the son of Delamar Normington and Erma Therese Tarris Normington.
He married Evelyn Agostini October 13, 1962.
He attended schools in Superior and was a 1952 graduate of Superior High School. He received an associate degree in business accounting from Stevens Henager School of Business. He then received a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Weber State
He worked for the Sweetwater County School District No. 1 for 20 years and retired in 1996 as the Transportation Director. He formerly worked as an accountant for Morton Thiokol for five years and then he worked for Sperry Univac for five years as a computer programmer.
A proud veteran, Andrew served his country honorably in the United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to the Sweetwater County School District No. 1, where he ultimately retired as the Transportation Director. In his free time, Andrew enjoyed the great outdoors; hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. He was also an adept mechanic, but his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn Agostini Normington of Rock Springs; two sons, Michael Normington of Rock Springs; Thomas Normington of Boulder; one sister Maldi Lavender of Logan, Utah two grandchildren, Dodge Normington; Decker Normington; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Delamar and Erma Therese Normington, three brothers, and three sisters.

Cremation will take place; a Vigil Service with Rosary will be conducted at 4:00 pm Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 116 Broadway Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Military Honors will be held at the church.
