ROCK SPRINGS – The Organization Committee of the Rock Springs Main Street/URA is pleased to announce their January Volunteer of the Month – Joselia Mendiolea.
Joselia is a proud Green River native and graduated from GRHS with the class of 2004. She received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies with a minor in Urban Planning from the University of Utah in 2009, followed by a Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute in 2012. She has been in the process of completing the requirements to become a licensed architect while employed at Plan One/Architects in Rock Springs for the last three years.
Joselia enjoys bringing positive changes to the community’s people and built environment by serving on the Rock Springs URA/Main Street Design Committee, the Rock Springs Historic Preservation Commission, and the YWCA of Sweetwater County Board of Directors. She likes exploring unfamiliar places, making things, dancing, camping, and hiking – all preferably in the company of loved ones.
Over the past month, Joselia has worked with the Certified Local Government (CLG) to assist with the restoration of the “Dollhouse” located at the Rock Springs Cemetery.
