Another downtown business takes advantage of facade grant program

ROCK SPRINGS – Several businesses have been giving the downtown an upgrade through the Facade Grant Program through the Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency. Another check was presented Monday night.

Director Chad Banks said tonight our board presented the High Country Hearing Center with a check for the improvements to the façade of their building. The project turned out great and really enhanced the streetscape on Broadway.

The Façade Improvement Grant entitles the applicant up to $5,000.00 reimbursement towards the total cost of a façade improvement project. We also provide up to $1,000 for paint. This is a matched grant and requires the applicant to pay for 50 percent of the total cost, while the grant pays for the remaining 50 percent. The Façade Improvement Grant pertains to exterior improvements only and may be applied to a front, side, or rear facade provided it faces a public street or parking area.
