Bernice Marie Gallagher, 78, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014. A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Mrs. Gallagher died following a lengthy illness.

She was born on July 2, 1935 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Henry David Menghini and Bernice Pinter.

Mrs. Gallagher attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming and was a 1954 graduate of the Rock Springs High School. She graduated in 1957 from Holy Cross Hospital with a Nursing Degree.

She married John Edward Gallagher in Rock Springs, Wyoming on March 30, 1957.

Mrs. Gallagher was employed at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County for many, many years and retired as Nursing Supervisor.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community; Retired Nurses Group; Holy Cross Hospital Association; Senior Citizen Center.

Her interests included crocheting, reading historical books and romance novels. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband John Gallagher of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three daughters Karen Gallagher of Billings, Montana, Kathleen Vesco of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Margaret Woodward of Kemmerer, Wyoming; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Menghini and Bernice Pinter Teig; maternal grandparents James and Alma Pinter and paternal grandparents John and Lena Menghini.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A vigil service with rosary will be recited Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. at the church. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until time of rosary and on Thursday at the church, one hour prior to services.
