BLM Rock Springs launches ePlanning interactive website for Resource Management Plan

ROCK SPRINGS – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Rock Springs Resource Management Plan documents are now all available through an interactive website known as ePlanning.

The ePlanning website brings Land Use Planning as well as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process into your home or local library. With an Internet-connected computer, you can open and read land use planning and NEPA documents produced with ePlanning. You can search for issues such as recreation, wildlife, or energy. During the comment periods, you can easily submit your comments online! With ePlanning’s comment features, you can tie your comment to particular text right out of the land use planning or NEPA document. It has never been easier to communicate your recommendations and preferences to public land managers.

A link to video tutorials is available in the upper right-hand corner on the website to walk users through the new program, or by clicking: https://www.ntc.blm.gov/krc/uploads/449/Public_Comment.html.

“We hope this transition to the new interactive ePlanning website will engage even more people in the RMP process,” says Rock Springs RMP Project Manager William West. “It also supports the BLM Environmental Management System’s goals by reducing our carbon footprint, thus preserving natural resources by eliminating waste created by future mailings and printings.”
