UPDATE AT 3:30 p.m.: At approximately 1:30 p.m. today, authorities were notified of a crash on Interstate 80 Eastbound just outside of Green River at milepost 87. The driver, who has not yet been identified, lost control of the tractor trailer truck, damaging the guardrail on the bridge over Blue Rim Road and catching fire. Traffic was rerouted through the Jamestown service road, WYO 372.
The driver has not reported any serious injuries at this time.

Currently, crews have one lane of traffic now open to motorists. WYDOT urges drivers to reduce speeds and proceed cautiously, as patrol and WYDOT crews continue to investigate and clean up the crash area.
SWEETWATER COUNTY – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 are closed due to a truck fire.
Wyoming Department of Transportation Spokesperson Stephanie Harsha said emergency responders are working on a truck fire near milepost 87. Traffic is being re-routed at this time.
