UPDATE 5:17 According to a press release by Lincoln County Public Information Officer Steven Malak an explosion occurred at a storage tank owned by EOG Resources. The tank stores natural gas, and was undergoing cleaning when the explosion occurred. There were some injuries, but no fatalities. Malak said he doesn’t have specific injury information. The fire is under control, and further operations are being turned over to EOG.
LA BARGE — An industrial accident is the likely cause of an explosion that occurred at 1:56 pm near the Shute Creek Plant at an EOG facility located on La Barge Highway.
Lincoln County Public Information Officer Steven Malak said there are injuries from the explosion.
Malak said that the injured were transported to South Lincoln Medical Center. The Uinta County Herald is reporting that three workers were injured in the explosion. One severely enough to be life flighted.
