GREEN RIVER – Carla Jean Pershin, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the home of her daughter in St. George, Utah. A long time resident of Green River and St. George, Utah, Mrs. Pershin died following a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 5, 1931 in Green River, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Howard and Twila Moffitt.
Mrs. Pershin attended schools in Green River, Wyoming and graduated in 1949 as Valedictorian.
She married Rudy V. Pershin on October 23, 1949 in Green River, Wyoming and he preceded her in death on September 10, 1984.
Her interests included beadwork, sewing and gardening. Mrs. Pershin was care taker for her parents, husband and son.
Survivors include two daughters DeeAnn Pershin of Green River, Wyoming and Dawn Lynn Kliarsky of St. George, Utah; one grandson Jordon Kliarsky of Las Vegas, Nevada and one sister Deann Galanis and husband George of Westlake Village, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rudy V. Pershin; one son Rudy H. Pershin.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel, 263 East Flaming Gorge Way, Green River, Wyoming. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel on Monday, one hour prior to services.
