SWEETWATER COUNTY – The smoke at the Wyoming State Final Rodeo in Douglas has cleared and Rock Springs’ Kyle Chapman, Eden’s J.D. Slagowski, and Big Piney’s Karson Bradley and Rylee Whitman have all earned spots at the National Final High School Rodeo in Rock Springs. Whitman won the State Championship in Girl’s Cutting.
The top four in the point standings after the conclusion of the WYSFR qualify for the High School National Finals Rodeo. The fifth place finisher is an alternate, in case one of the top four can’t compete.There may be more Wyoming qualifiers than what’s listed. Since rodeo is not a varsity event, competitors can cross the state line and compete for another state. If they qualify for the HSNFR, they will compete for that state.
