RSPD Sergeant Curt Christensen was honored Tuesday night. Mayor Carl Demshar presented a retirement plaque to Curt and his wife Tami at the Rock Springs City Council meeting.

ROCK SPRINGS – The city said goodbye to two employees at the Rock Springs City Council meeting on Tuesday, Rock Springs Police Sgt. Curt Christensen and building maintenance mechanic Moses Martinez.

Moses could not attend the meeting Tuesday night but Mayor Carl Demshar still said it was important to celebrate Moses for his service. Moses is leaving after 15 years with the city. Demshar said retirements are bitter sweet because while they are happy to see these hard-working employees finally get to enjoy a well deserved break, the city is losing two valuable employees. Demshar said Moses’ dedication to his job could really be seen in everything he did and the city would have a hard time replacing such a dedicated employee.

RSPD Sgt. Curt Christensen also will be joining the ranks of the retired. During his many years with the RSPD, Christensen has served in almost every position from detective to DARE officer.
