Our friends at The Radio Network have been giving back to the community for twenty-one years through their Coats for Kids program.

This year, with the help of their sponsors and Herberger’s the program donated 100 children’s winter coats.

Herberger’s arranged a very generous price. The special rate allowed the program to spend $3,500 to buy 100 quality coats to be given out to needy kids.

The program is funded by selling Christmas ornaments, the bulbs go for five dollars each. Many folks donated over twenty dollars per bulb, organizers said.

This year’s Ornament Sponsor is Mandros Painting.

Sponsors include: Escape Day Spa and Botique, China Garden, Sweetwater Trophies and Gifts, Reynold’s Jewelers, ChopStix Asiab Bistro, Trona Valley Federal Credit Union, Bomber’s Sports Bar, Daniel’s Jewelry, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, Smart Dwellings, Green River Tire, KB’S Place, Half Price Flooring, Green River Imports Plus, Rock Springs Chamber, Flaming Gorge Harley Daividson, Heart of the Home Kitchenware, Zanetti Prestige Collision Repair, Dan’s Tire, Birch Family Denistry and Sweetwater Technologies.

Organizers picked up the coats this week at Herberger’s. Jace Tatum from Green River Tire provided the transportation.
