SWEETWATER COUNTY — The Sweetwater County Commission will be making several board appointments during its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday.
The following boards, committees and commissions will receive new board appointments: Southwestern Wyoming Regional Airport; Community Fine Arts Center; Sweetwater County Library System; Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County; Miners Hospital; Sweetwater County Historical Museum; Planning & Zoning Commission; Predatory Animal Board; Solid Waste Disposal District No. 2 (Wamsutter); Solid Waste Disposal District (Eden Valley); Southwest Counseling; STAR Transit; and the Fiber Optics board.
The Commission will also consider approval of an agreement extension with Castle Rock Ambulance Services. According to the meeting documents, the agreement will be per monthly increments starting July 1, 2022 and may continue through June 30, 2023. It was decided by the Commission at the end of 2021 that Castle Rock would take over ambulance services for the county.
However, on January 1, 2022 the contract with Sweetwater Medics was continued on a month-to-month basis for a period of six months with an option for the county to terminate the extension without cause upon providing 30 days notice. This contract was done to ensure the county had ambulance services as Castle Rock prepared to take over services.
Now the Commission will consider approval of extending the contract with Sweetwater Medics for an additional six months under the same terms.
The Commission meets Tuesday, June 21 at 8:30 a.m. at the Sweetwater County Courthouse.
