ROCK SPRINGS — Sweetwater County School District No. 1 has posted it’s Mask-up Campaign entries on social media and is asking the community to “like” their favorites.
Sweetwater County School District No. 1 Technology Manager Stephanie Tolman announced today in ParentSquare that the district has created 14 new albums dedicate to entries on the district’s Facebook page.
“As I’m sure you noticed, there has been a lot of activity on the District’s Facebook Page,” Tolman said,
“Each of those albums contain pictures, letters, or stories from our students about wearing masks,” she said.
SCSD No. 1 has partnered with businesses in the community to get the word out about the importance of masking up in order to keep our schools open and our community running.
“Our students have worked very hard on each of the submissions. The submission for each grade level with the most likes will receive a prize,” Tolman explained.
“Please know that we will not tolerate any mean, hurtful, or degrading comments on the work of our students,” Tolman said in the post. “If you are unable to say something nice in support of their efforts, please do not comment.”
For the ninth, 10th, and 11th grade categories there are video submissions. Due to our inability to add those to the albums, those were added separately.
The winners will be decided next week.
“Head over to our Facebook page and like your favorite in each of the grade level groups,” Tolman said.
