DALE DAVIS
Sweetwater County Clerk
Party: Democrat
Tell us a bit about yourself…
I was born and raised in Rock Springs, the son of Norman and Shirleen (Slagowski) Davis. My father was a small business owner of North End Exxon, which I took care of the daily books.
My grandparents, Bill and Frances Davis and Glenn and Elaine Slagowski were long time residents of Rock Springs.
I graduated from Rock Springs High School with the Class of 1988 and graduated from Western Wyoming Community College in 1991.
What makes you the best choice for County Clerk?
Work experience.
I have been employed in the Clerk’s office since graduating from Western Wyoming Community College when I went to work for former clerk, Bob Vesco and continued upon the election of Bobbi Bailiff.
After Bobbi Bailiff’s retirement, I ran for County Clerk in 2006 and have been your County Clerk for the last twelve years, I have enjoyed and I am looking forward to serving the residents of the county.
I have been fortunate to learn a great deal of knowledge that I will carry forward should I be re-elected. I have a working knowledge of the various departments in the clerk’s office which allows me to make day to day decisions.
I’ve also completed various courses to be a Certified Elections/Registration Administrator through the national Election Center, conducted by Auburn University.
What do you hope to accomplish in your first year if re-elected?
The next year, I am looking forward to working with the other counties and state to update our aging election equipment.
