MANILA, Utah – Several recent cattle deaths in western Daggett County have law enforcement officials puzzled.

Three young cows were found dead of unknown causes in the last two weeks, and there were two unexplained cattle deaths last year at about this same time. All of the cows have shown evidence of postmortem mutilation, leading law enforcement to suspect foul play.

Sheriff Jerry Jorgensen would like anyone that may have noticed anything suspicious, or may know anything regarding these cases to please notify the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office at 435-784-3255 or 435-789-4222. All tips will be kept confidential.
