Rock Springs, WY – At their regularly scheduled meeting on April 5, 2016, the Rock Springs City Council unanimously voted to appoint Devon Brubaker to the Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency (URA) Board of Directors.
Devon has served as the airport manager at the Rock Springs-Sweetwater County Airport since May 2015. He comes to the Rock Springs Main Street/URA Board of Directors with over 11 years of experience in public administration including extensive experience in capital planning, financial management, grant writing, economic development, marketing, maintenance and team leadership.
Before his time with Rock Springs-Sweetwater County Airport, Devon worked for the City of Dayton, Ohio from 2010 -2015 as an Airport Operations & Maintenance Supervisor and the City of Charlotte, North Carolina from 2008 – 2010 as a Lead Airport Operations Officer. From 2006 to 2008 Devon also worked for the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority, Harrisburg International Airport as an Airport Operations Specialist. He served as an Airport Management Intern at Houston Executive Airport in 2006 and at Springfield Airport Authority, Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in 2005.
Devon is an accredited Airport Executive through the American Association of Airport Executives. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Aviation Management from University of Dubuque and a Masters of Aeronautical Science, Aviation & Aerospace Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Devon is married to Jennifer Brubaker and they have four children (Jessica, Samantha, Brandon & Haylee) with one more on the way this month.

I look forward to joining this team and helping this community that has already given so much to me and my family; I can’t wait give back,” Devon added.
The Rock Springs Main Street/URA is charged with the redevelopment of Downtown Rock Springs. As part of their mission, there are four standing committees – Economic Restructuring, Organization, Promotions and Design.
