Fallen Soldiers Motorcycle Ride to Honor Joshua Thompson

The Tribute Riders will honor fallen soldier Joshua Thompson who served in the U.S. Army during the Iraq War.

ROCK SPRINGS — The 13th Annual Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride from will be stopping in Rock Springs tomorrow to honor local fallen hero Private Joshua Thompson. 

Joshua Thompson was a United States Army Veteran of the Iraq War who passed away on August 13, 2013. The Tribute Riders are traversing the county from Eugene, OR to Arlington National Cemetery over the course of the summer.

The riders will be arriving at the eastbound Elk Street exit at approximately 2 p.m. under police escort tomorrow. They ask that anyone who is available and would like to see the Tribute Motorhome pulling the Memorial Torch and the Tribute Riders to line the side of Elk Street from Bomber’s Sports Bar to Rock Springs National Bank.

The motorcade will stop at the Rock Springs Housing Authority on C Street next to the police department at 2:30 p.m. to present special gifts to Joshua’s Gold Star parents.

Everyone is welcome to the event to honor all post-9/11 fallen heroes from all branches of the military.
