ROCK SPRINGS — YWCA Festival of Trees 2021 kicked off a festive start to the new year and helped raise over $20,000 to help support their clients.
Festival of Trees is held each December to raise funds for all the services that YWCA offers to the community. Commerce Bank of Wyoming is a dedicated supporter of YWCA and host of this event for the past five years.
“I love how the bank looks so festive and inviting when all the decorated trees are displayed in the lobby,” said Robin Allen, Senior Banker at Commerce Bank of Wyoming.
This year the event was back in person after the 2020 event had to go fully online due to pandemic
restrictions. While supporters still decorated trees and donated baskets it was not the same as the big
Live Auction event.
This year’s event was back with all the fun and festive cheer. There were desserts from 307 Bakery and Mandy’s Chocolates, and drinks from Johnny Mac’s, and food from Marty’s Gastro Pub.
John Gibbens was the auctioneer that night and kept the crowd entertained while auctioning off sixteen full-size decorated trees. Over 50 items ranging from gift baskets to wreaths to holiday décor
were auctioned in the online silent auction.
Overall, the event raised more funds than prior years and has become a signature event in the community.
