ROCK SPRINGS – There is not a better way to beat monotony of the daily grind than finding a patch of shade under a tree at Bunning Park and soak in the sounds of music without paying a dime. The Rock Springs Concerts in the Park series will have three acts to fill your week this week starting on Tuesday.

The concerts are at Bunning Park located off Elk Street on Evans Drive. Music starts at 7 p.m. and usually last a couple of hours. The concerts are free to anyone and everyone. Concerts in the Park series is brought to you by the Rock Springs Civic Center Programs Department.

On Tuesday, local band Fists of Funk will be sharing its sounds with visitors to the park. Fists of Funk is a musical collaboration of Blues, Funk, Reggae and Rock. Jeremy Smolik, Paul Dittman and Dustin Cleary make up the three-piece band from Green River. With a wide range of influences driving their writing, these homegrown Sweetwater County boys are taking the region by storm.
