Flash Flood Watch Issued for Portions of Lincoln, Sublette and Fremont Counties

RIVERTON – Portions of Sublette, Fremont and Lincoln Counties are currently under a flash flood watch with red flag warnings moving into the western portion of the state.

The National Weather Service in Riverton said this afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 68. West southwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Tonight and into the early morning hours on Tuesday, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, mainly before 4 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 49. South southwest wind 8 to 15 mph becoming north northwest in the evening.

Winds could gust as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Light and variable wind becoming west 8 to 13 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Expect cooler temperatures from these disturbances.
