Fremont Therapy Group, formerly Summit Physical & Sports Therapy, has opened the doors to their new clinic at 330 Upland way in Green River.
The new facility adds opportunities for the therapists as well as new treatments for Sweetwater County patients.
The new clinic includes an aquatic therapy pool designed specifically for physical therapy. The warm water offers a gravity-minimized environment for regaining motion, building strength and increasing flexibility. There are also private rooms for treatments and consultations and a state of the art gym.
If you’ve been treated at Summit, you already know the highly trained physical therapists.
Kris Nelson, PT, MPT, CHT
Kris is one of the owners of the Green River clinic. He is also a Certified Hand Therapist. He specializes in treatment of the upper extremity and has achieved the highest level of competency in the profession. Through continuing education and training, Kris remains knowledgeable about preventive care, current surgical techniques, post-surgery therapy programs, and fabrication of custom upper extremity splints. When Kris is not helping patients, he takes advantage of Sweetwater County’s beauty with activities such as hiking, camping, golf, and floating the Green River.  Kris and his wife Stacey have two children, Camden and Brinley.
Jeff Alcorn, PT, DPT
Jeff joined our team in 2015. Jeff’s wife, Kada, is a Green River native. They just welcomed a baby boy, Emmett, in April. Jeff enjoys working with a wide array of patients including those recovering from sports injuries, surgery, and neurological conditions among others. He is passionate about helping patients achieve their goals and return to their prior activities and hobbies, so they can live life to the fullest! He recently completed a course in dry needling and has enjoyed helping patients relieve pain through the technique.
Dana Kreusel, PT, DPT
Dana was raised in Mountain View. She has been with the clinic for over 3 years. Dana has advanced training in functional manual therapy, which is a specialized, hands-on approach to physical therapy. As a manual therapist, she focuses on treating movement dysfunction through a variety of techniques. Ensuring her patients achieve pain-free function is Dana’s primary focus. When she is not treating patients, she is a busy mom to four energetic kids. She enjoys spending any available free time with family and friends, being outdoors and playing volleyball.
Fremont Therapy Group strives to provide exceptional physical therapy care and specializes in hand therapy, custom orthotics, orthopedic therapy, vestibular and dry needling, to name a few.
For the past three years, Summit and Fremont Therapy Group have been under the same ownership. When Fremont Therapy Group purchased Summit in April of 2014, they wanted to retain the local presence in Green River. With the addition of the new building, the owners felt it was a perfect time to unify the clinics under one name.
In addition to the new facility in Green River, FTG operates clinics in Lander, Riverton and Rawlins, Wyoming.
An official open house will be scheduled soon. In the meantime, feel free to stop by to tour the new clinic.
