Gas Prices Continue Rising to Record Highs Statewide, Nationally

SWEETWATER COUNTY — Wyoming’s average gas prices continue to reach a new high every day, with today’s average price for regular unleaded gasoline reaching $4.697 per gallon, according to data reported by American Automobile Association (AAA).

This is an increase from when SweetwaterNOW last reported on gas prices on March 10 when the state’s average price for a gallon of unleaded gas was $3.987.

Gas prices are continuing to raise daily across the nation with a national average of $4.97 per gallon for regular unleaded. Wyoming’s average price continues to sit below the national average with the state’s average price being 27 cents lower than the national average as of June 9.

Sweetwater County’s current average price for regular unleaded gas is $4.685, which is among the middle of the pack of Wyoming counties. Teton County has the highest price for regular unleaded gas in Wyoming with an average of $5.183 per gallon, which is nearly 50 cents higher than in Sweetwater County.

The county with the current lowest cost of gas is Natrona with an average price of $4.447 per gallon of regular unleaded gas. That’s nearly 24 cents less than in Sweetwater County.
