Gene Edwin Harsha, 81, passed away June 14, 2022 peacefully at his home in Green River, Wyoming.

Gene was born February 19, 1941 in Green River, Wyoming; the son of Richard Henry Harsha and Mable Mae Doty Harsha. He was the youngest of 11 children.

He married Mary Bolinger Huff November 22, 1966 and to this union was born Lorena, Fred, and Mary Jean. They later divorced and he married Cindy (Snyder) August 14, 1993. She brought with her 5 more sons – Josh, Jeff, Jake, JJ, and Robert. Cindy preceded him in death on October 8, 2021.

Gene served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked some odd jobs and then started his 25-year career at Allied/General Chemical where he worked until his retirement in 1996.

He loved to be outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting or camping. He also loved to tell stories and was full of them. More than anything, he loved his family and fur babies.

Survivors include his daughter, Lorena Robinson and husband Ed of Pine Haven, Wyoming; Fred Harsha of Aurora, Colorado; Mary Jean Harsha and wife Jenny of Belle Rive, Illinois; Jacob Myers of Golden Valley, Arizona; Joshua Myers and girlfriend Jessica Osborne of Green River, Wyoming; Jeffrey Mills and wife Angela of Rock Springs, Wyoming; John Mills of Cortez, Colorado; Robert Berg and wife April of Green River, Wyoming; 19 Grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Cindy; eight brothers, George Harsha; LeRoy Harsha; Glen Harsha; Gerald (Judd) Harsha; Donald Harsha; Ronald (Red) Harsha; Richard (Dick) Harsha; John (Ben) Benjamin Harsha; two sisters, Helen and Donna.

 Following Cremation, a Celebration of Life will be conducted from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 2 at Hampton Inn & Suites, 1055 Wild Horse Canyon Road, Green River, Wyoming 82935.
