CHEYENNE – Governor Matt Mead will recognize more than 50 Wyoming men and women newly enlisted in military service. U.S. Senator John Barrasso and Brigadier General Steven Mount will join Governor Mead at the Wyoming National Guard Joint Forces Readiness Center ceremony on May 16 at 8:30 a.m. where certificates will be presented to each individual.

“These men and women represent the best of our country. They care about the United States, our people and our way of life. They are volunteering to serve our nation,” Governor Mead said. “We owe each of them and their families a debt of gratitude. I urge friends and family to support these new enlistees and thank them with me.”

Members of the group have joined the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and the Wyoming Army and Air National Guard respectively. The Joint Forces Readiness Center is located at 5800 Central Avenue in Cheyenne.
