Green River City Council Agenda for April 7

GREEN RIVER– The Green River City Council will meet on Tuesday, April 7 at 7 pm via video conferencing.

Due to COVID-19 Coronavirus recommendations, the meeting will not be accessible through Green River City Hall. The public can access the meeting through Zoom:, or on the City of Green River’s Facebook page.

The council will consider approval to enter an MOU between the City of Green River, the City of Rock Springs, and Sweetwater County to purchase, obtain, and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) and other commonly needed items directly related to combating COVID-19 for use by law enforcement, fire, and other emergency personnel.

Each party will make equal contributions of $50,000 for an initial aggregate total of $150,000.

The parties will further agree to make an additional payment of $100,000 available for immediate distribution if necessary if approved.

Also on the agenda, Mayor Pete Rust will read the following proclamations: National Library Week, National Service Recognition Day, and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

The council will consider accepting the Wyoming State Forestry Grant Funds for the planting of trees along East Teton Boulevard. They will also consider accepting funds for the Edgewater Park improvements, including the playground and the addition of four pickleball courts.

The council will also consider to award the 2020 North 3rd West Water Improvement Project to Jackman Construction for $170,395.50. The project consists of the installation and replacement of a water mains and associated components in North 3rd West and an adjacent alley.
