Green River Farmer’s Market Spotlight: Jars of Sunshine

GREEN RIVER – At Wednesday’s Green River’s Farmer’s Market keep your eye out for this week’s Spotlight vendor – Bree McMullan. She will be there with her sunny disposition selling Jars of Sunshine filled with small batch mustards jams & jellies.

Jars of Sunshine is a small business based in Medicine Bow Wyoming and Bree is helping to bring their delightful creations to Green River. The city spoke to Bree last Thursday and asked her what she thought of the Farmer’s Market.

“Yesterday was amazing for a first day and I love the new location,” she said.

Jar’s of Sunshine has 15 varieties of jams and jellies and about 10 varieties of mustard.

Bree said her favorite product is the Habanero Mustard, she uses it on steak and potato salad, and it gives her Deviled Eggs a great zip. Bree’s kids love to put the Chocolate-Strawberry Jam on top of yogurt or use it for dipping fruit.

The city hopes you stop by Green River’s Farmer’s Market on Wednesday and if you do, don’t forget to pick up your own jar of sunshine. The Green River Farmer’s Market starts at 4 p.m. and runs to 7 p.m. It takes place on Uinta Drive near the Flaming Gorge Harley Davidson shop.

QUICK RECIPE: Marinate your steak with about 2 tbl spoons of Hobanero Mustard and salt & pepper to taste; leave it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes then cook it on the grill. You can use a little extra mustard as a garnish too.
