GREEN RIVER — It’s official, Green River High School (GRHS) has won the state’s High School Blood Drive Challenge this year.
The announcement was made this morning during halftime at the GRHS girls basketball state game in Casper.
Back in January, Rock Springs and Green River high schools participated in a friendly competition to see which community could collect the most donations. This year, Green River came out on top collecting a total of 295 pints during that blood-drive challenge.
The Green River and Rock Springs schools collected a total 566 pints of blood in four days, which is enough to save more than 1,700 lives.
Congratulations!
