GREEN RIVER – A wet spring means more of those pesky mosquitoes in the hotter months. The Green River Parks and Recreation Department will be initiating the mosquito abatement process in early June.
A briquette form of Larvacide will be used in areas of standing water. Spraying will be conducted on an “as needed” basis in an effort to control the adult mosquito population. Spraying will be conducted from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.
The flyovers are separate from this schedule and are dependent on weather conditions. For more information call the Green River Parks and Recreation Department.
