GREEN RIVER — The Green River City Council voted unanimously to authorize city staff to prepare a Development Agreement for the sale of Lincoln School Addition Tracts B and C with JS Construction.

JS Construction submitted the sole bid in the amount of $70,000.

“It is less than the appraised value that was done on that appraisal however many years ago,” Green River Public Works Director Mark Westenskow said.

However, the Council said they believed the $70,000 was a sufficient bid for the property. The proposed project is for 29 single-family residential lots.

Though the action taken at Tuesday night’s meeting is not an official sale or acceptance of the bid, it sets forth the Council’s intention to accept the bid.

JS Construction plans to have the dirt work done in April 2022, and plans to put in the water and sewer in May and June. Curbs and gutters would then built in either July or August, and in September the gas, asphalt, and power would be put in.
