Green River Police Department Reports for August 22; Bicycle reportedly thrown into river

GREEN RIVER — The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 21, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. onĀ August 22, 2014:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Officers transported two inmates from the Sweetwater County Detention to the Green River Municipal Court for a hearing.

Officers completed VIN inspections at addresses on: South 5th East, Clark Street, Mountain Fuel Station, Kentucky Street, Evans Drive and South Carolina Drive.

Officers were dispatched to the School District #2 School Bus Yard on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a School Bus Light Violation. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a found dog. The dog was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, regarding a noise complaint of loud music.

Officers responded to addresses on California Way, regarding nuisance properties.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated an individual took fuel without paying for it.

Officers responded to the area of Astle Avenue, in regards to a report of a suspicious individual. It was reported the driver yelled obscenities as they drove past.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located the dog and took the dog to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to a civil standby regarding property.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a two vehicle crash.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a reported suspicious incident on East Teton Boulevard.

Officers assisted a motorist on East Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers responded to an address on Shoshone Avenue, regarding a report of illegal dumping. Officers are investigating the incident.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Stratton Myer Park, in regards to a report of littering. Officers spoke with two juveniles who reported they threw their bicycle into the river. Officers contacted a parent who confirmed the bicycle belonged to the juvenile who threw it into the river. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in reference to a report of an assault. Officers contacted an individual who reported the other party left prior to Officers arrival. Officers later contacted the other individual and completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a violation of a court order. Officers spoke with the parties involved and completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers responded to the area of East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a two vehicle crash.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the reporting party who stated an individual was throwing items while on the property but did not cause any damage.
