SWEETWATER COUNTY — Green River and Rock Springs will meet on the tennis courts Tuesday as the two Sweetwater County programs square off for the first time this season.
Green River will host Rock Springs beginning at 4 p.m., with matches scheduled at both the Green River High School and Lincoln Middle School tennis courts.
The matchup comes as both programs continue through the early portion of their 2026 seasons. Green River opened the season with a strong showing against Cody and Powell before facing Campbell County, Thunder Basin and Jackson the following week. The Wolves’ girls earned a pair of wins during that stretch, including a 4-1 victory over Jackson.

Rock Springs has also faced a demanding early schedule, including matches against Cody, Powell, Campbell County, Thunder Basin and Jackson. The Tigers’ girls closed their most recent competition with a 3-2 victory over Jackson, sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the team win.
Tuesday’s matchup will give both programs another opportunity to test their singles and doubles lineups against a familiar opponent from the same area.
With the season still in its early stages, the meeting should provide another chance for players on both sides to gain match experience while continuing to develop their combinations on the court.
First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Green River High School and Lincoln Middle School tennis courts.
