GREEN RIVER — Make-A-Wish has officially kicked off and Green River High School has put together some awesome events to help raise funds and grant some wishes.

Green River and Rock Springs have a Make-A-Wish competition every year where they raise money for Make A Wish Wyoming. Last year Green River Raised $28,700 in two weeks, while RS raised $36,000.

This year, Green River High School is aiming to raise $30,000. The community can help out by participating in the following events, or by donating online. More information can be found on the GRHS Make-A-Wish Facebook page.

Thursday, February 18

• Music Bingo — 6:30-8:30 pm

  • $5 per music board
  • Sing-a-long songs
  • Blockbuster movies

• McWish Night — 4:30-7:30 pm

Friday, February 19

• Green River’s Got Talent — 7-9 pm
  • GRHS auditorium
  • $10 entry fee
  • $5 to spectate

• Archery games — 6-9 pm
  • Archery barn
  • Adults- $10
  • 12 and under- $5

Saturday, February 20

• Cornhole Tournament — 2-5 pm
  • GRHS gym
  • $10 per team of 2

• Escape Room — 11 am-7 pm
  • Theme: Escape High School
  • GRHS
  • $5 per person

• Sweetwater Creations — 2-7 pm
  • 10 percent of sales go to Make-A-Wish

There will also be an online art auction taking place throughout the week, hosted by the GRHS Art Department. Additionally, there will be an online raffle for baskets.
