Green River High School Student and Athlete of the week by Great Divide Chemical

Blake Waite was nominated as an athlete of the week by the GRHS football coaches. The coaches said, “Blake has been our leading defensive player through our first five games. He is tough and has a ‘nose’ for the ball. This last week we also had him start on the offensive line, at the center position. Blake did a great job and gives his coaches and teammates all of his effort in both practice and games.” Keep us the good work Blake!

Cassidy Gomez was nominated as an athlete of the week by girls swim coach Mrs. Colleen Seiloff. Coach Seiloff said, “Cassidy swam well during both our competitions this weekend. In the 500 Freestyle, she swam her personal best by beating her old time by over a minute and a half. Cassidy has been working hard in practice. She listens to the coaches and has continued to get better.” Way to go Cassidy!

 

Students of the Week

Hayley Henderson was nominated as a student of the week by arts teacher Ms. Denise Mosley for her efforts in Computer Graphics Advanced. Ms Mosley said, “Hayley continues to push herself and work well beyond the project criteria. She helps inspire those around her and pushes them to create beautiful things just as she does!” Nice job Hayley!

Josie Givens was nominated as a student of the week by arts teacher Mr. Shane Steiss. Mr. Steiss said, “Josie works extremely hard and has improved greatly over the year. More importantly, she is a kind and supportive classmate to her peers. She always gives complements to just the right person and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She is fabulous.” Keep being awesome Josie!

 

Wolves of the Week

Green River High School Student and Athlete of the week by Great Divide Chemical

Michael Montoya was nominated as a wolf of the week by choir teacher Ms. Leah Hoblit. Ms. Hoblit said, “Michael has gone above and beyond in choir by staying during options and after school to rehearse for All-Northwest and All-State auditions. He is always eager to learn something new to improve his singing.” Keep up the good work Michael!

Sarah Kropf was nominated as a wolf of the week by drama sponsor Ms. Terrin Musbach for her participation in GRHS’s upcoming production, Ramona Quimby. Ms. Musbach said, “Sarah is a team player that is always willing to help. She dives into every task appointed to her and completes it with attention to detail. She is consistently kind to others, her peers and everyone she meets.” Thank you Sarah for your hard work!

Gus Schulze was also nominated as a wolf of the week by drama sponsor Ms. Terrin Musbach for his participation in GRHS’s upcoming production, Ramona Quimby. Ms. musbach said, “Gus is always present, attentive and alert when working on the set. His artistic skills have added to our overall design and he gets along well with his peers. Gus is a wonderful team member and we love having him!” Way to go Gus!
