🐺 GRHS Wolves of the Week  🐺

Emily Navarro

Emily has done an excellent job designing, planning, pricing and building her woodworking project. She does a great job, takes pride in her work and has learned a lot about building.  She helps others, is safe and is someone who can be counted on to do her job. Her project is very nice and she is fun to have in class. Emily is a hard worker and cares about what she does and how it turns out.

-Nominated by: Mr. Tim Cassity, GRHS Industrial Arts Teacher

AJ Vergara

AJ has been an outstanding student in his Woods class this year and has pushed himself to learn to use the Wood Lathe. He has become an excellent woodworker and has become very skilled using the lathe to build Pens and Pencils that are very unique and very well done. AJ takes a lot of pride in his work and his craftsmanship is some of the best I have had in many years.

Madison Young/ Shelbee McFadden

At the Speech and Debate State Tournament, we had a lot of success. It was a very close tournament and we had several students place in final rounds. Madison Young and Shelbee McFadden are the state champions in Policy Debate.

GRHS Dance Team

I would like to nominate the Green River High School Wolf Pack Dance team for an exceptional season and fantastic finish at the State Spirit Competition.  The team placed 2nd in both Hip Hop and Jazz Dance.  Team members are Hailey Finstad, Bailee Roberts, Katherine Skinner, Sheridan Sherwin, Megan Cleary, Kinley Cochrane, Angel Gilbert, Sydney Ferrer, Emmalee Skinner, Rayne Welch, Kayleigh Schuh, Kaelea Gibson, Elissa Morris, Ashlyn Santhuff, and Taylor Melhorn.

-Nominated by: Mrs. Debi Kovick, GRHS Dance Team Coach

Paxton Castillon

I am nominating Paxton Castillon for Wolf of the Week. In February, Paxton traveled to Guatemala to provide services to the people there in need. He spent ten days rebuilding roofs, helped those waiting for dental care, played with the local children, visited an orphanage, and provided care packages to many in need.

Paxton was kind enough to let NHS contribute to his trip, and we are grateful to have played a very small part. Upon returning, he shared pictures and stories with the NHS members, detailing the events of his trip. Paxton is an outstanding example of service, character, leadership, and scholarship; our four pillars of the society.

-Nominated by: Mrs. Victoria Hemphill, GRHS NHS Sponsor

**Each student selected as a Student of the Week is invited to stop by Birch Family Dental to receive some FREE swag for their hard work and efforts.
