Having worked in the trona mining industry for almost 20 years, most of that as a blue collar employee, and having also worked in a variety of jobs — including tip work, education, and government service, I haveĀ a good sense of the value Wyoming workers provide day in and day out, not only in terms ofĀ labor, but their creative spirit as well. The grassroots are the foundation of anyĀ organizationĀ and the lifeblood of our system of government.
Each year Labor Day allows us to recognize theĀ contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our communities and country.
.
Happy Labor Day!Ā Thank youĀ hardworking Wyomingites for all you do. You are the backbone of our economy and our communities. Keep working safe, and enjoy the holiday weekend.”
-Michele Irwin, candidate for Wyoming House District 18

I have been endorsed by SMART Transportation union, the Wyoming Education AssociationĀ and have received support from Local 15320, United Steelworkers. I am anticipating endorsements from others as well, but some organizations were waiting for the results of the special election to make final decisions.
In 2014, I was proud to also receive the endorsement of United Steelworkers, and the United Mine Workers Association, Local 1307.
