ROCK SPRINGS – Bruce and Carla Pivic owners of Infinity Power and Controls were honored for their part in the competition of the Broadway Theater project in a short ceremony that took place before the Glenn Miller Orchestra took the stage on Tuesday.
Rock Springs Mayor Carl Demshar said that Bruce and Carla stuck with the project despite increasing costs, “When we started the renovation of the Broadway Theater the State of Wyoming kicked in 2.2 million dollars, the City kicked in about a half a million dollars and Bruce and Carla who own Infinity Power and Controls committed an additional $200,000 and they were going to work on the lighting and sound. So what you see here today is a direct result of their work,” Demshar said.
Demshar said that the cost of the renovation increased as budgets stretched, “They did not give up on this project and in the end they had contributed about $500,000.
Additionally Carla Pivic is largely responsible for decorating the lobby. Demshar said that during a recent visit by Wyoming Governor Matt Mead he was told by the Governor that the theater was a first class asset to the community.
Bruce Pivic said that the opening of the theater started a new venture for the citizens of Sweetwater County, “This venue was designed for what we are doing tonight. Tonight is about a new start for a new era.”
Pivic then introduced the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra to the stage.
