It’s Your Choice–See Board Certified Specialists

Fremont Therapy Group has added another physical therapist to its Sweetwater County team!

Jackie Clark, PT, DPT, CSCS is a residency-trained sports physical therapist and certified emergency responder for athletes.

Having the addition of Jackie to the already specially-trained staff of Fremont Therapy Groupand Rocky Mountain Sports, allows Sweetwater County the new option for athletes to be treated and rehabbed through a true sports-specific program.

Jackie earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, was the lead PT at a clinic in her hometown in Texas for numerous years, then completed a sports residency program at Texas Health Sports Medicine with Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, TX. This year-long, intensive program gave Jackie specialty training in the clinic and on the field at a division one university. She learned from experts in the field about ACL-reconstruction, concussion rehab, baseball-related injuries at the shoulder and elbow, and injuries related to football, volleyball, and basketball. Her residency has prepared her to help athletes with any injury and of any age, including weekend warriors. After completing the residency program, Jackie will seek the prestigious board certification of Sports Clinical Specialist. She will be one of a few in Wyoming and the only physical therapist in Sweetwater County with this credential, making her the top choice to help rehabilitate you or your athlete.

Athletes have different needs. Being a competitive gymnast who was injured during the peak of my career, I get it. It’s hard coming back from an injury and it’s my job to not only get athletes back to their previous level but beyond it.

Since starting at FTG in Green River, Jackie has developed a strong relationship with Josh Lewis, Green River High School’s Athletic Trainer (AT).  Jackie states, “one of the biggest and most important concepts I learned during my residency was the significance of the relationship with the AT of the student-athletes.”

Jackie spends time with Josh and the Green River student-athletes at practice and games to collaborate and become a familiar face in the community. When an injury occurs, Jackie is there to provide any help Josh may need and provides her the ability to start building a relationship with the athlete on the field to continue into the clinic if the athlete chooses her for their rehab. Jackie and Josh are able to collaborate together, under the direction of the physician, to keep the athlete motivated and on the right path back to the sport.

“Jackie’s time spent with us at GRHS has been very valuable. She provides a fresh perspective and an instant second opinion, which is something many high schools AT’s and their athletes don’t have immediate access to.

Her positivity and knowledge is much appreciated. We are looking forward to our continued collaboration.
