ROCK SPRINGS – Jack Ruey Lell, 75, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. A long time resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mr. Lell died following a brief illness.
He was born on May 10, 1939 in Drill, Virginia, the son of the late Dow and Sarah Brown Lell.
Mr. Lell attended schools in Abingdon, Virginia. He married Rose Marie Doust in Grants, New Mexico in February of 1971 and she preceded him in death on September 25, 2006 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Mr. Lell was employed as a miner for FMC Corporation. His interests included fishing, hunting and camping.
Survivors include one son Darrell Lell of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two daughters Judy Peterson and husband Brent of Green River, Wyoming and Jane Taylor and husband Ted of Grand Junction, Colorado; one sister Janet Gafke of Grand Junction, Colorado; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Rose Marie Lell; two sons Adrian Lell and Martin “Mack” Doust; one daughter Debra Kight; one brother Villard Lell; two sisters Noami Crosswhite and Joan Eden; his dog Minnie Ray.
Cremation will take place and memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Vase Flaming Gorge, 263 East Flaming Gorge Way, Green River, Wyoming. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel one hour prior to services.
