GREEN RIVER — Jack Ryan, 83, of Eden, Wyoming passed away in Green River, Wyoming at his sons home surrounded by family.
He was a resident of Eden, Wyoming and former resident of Green River, Wyoming. Mr. Ryan died following a lengthy illness,
Mr. Ryan was born on September 1, 1934, in Bisbee, Arizona, the son of Jack Hollie Ryan and Mable Martin Ryan.
He attended schools in Texas and graduated from San Angelo Central High School with the class of 1952. He also attended college for one year.
Mr. Ryan served in the United States Navy as a communication officer during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1960.
He was a supervisor at General Chemical and formerly Allied Chemical for twenty-eight years and retired in 1994. He moved to Eden, Wyoming in 1977 and was the owner-operator of Ryan Farm.
Mr. Ryan enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing which were his most enjoyable pastimes.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Myrick and wife Janelle of Mountain View, Wyoming, Robert Ryan and wife Jalynn of Green River, Wyoming, Jack Ryan and wife Kimberly of Eden, Wyoming, one daughter, Dodey Morgan and husband Robert of Rock Springs, Wyoming, one brother, David Ryan and wife Mary of San Angelo, Texas, two sisters, Nancy Ryan of Athens, Texas, Bonnie Englehart and husband Bob of Athens, Texas, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews,.
Mr. Ryan was preceded in death by his parents, wife Velma “Faye” Ryan, two grandsons, Robert Glenn Ryan Jr., and Shane Oliver.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Vase Funeral Home, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Military graveside and interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel one hour prior to funeral services.
